Streamline – VALKYRIE

Biogas-to-RNG Upgrading

About the Company:

Streamline helps industry transition to a low-carbon future by converting emissions sustainably into reusable products. To do this, Streamline has developed and deployed a suite of environmentally forward technologies and chemistries that are targeted for efficiency and effectiveness in treating the toughest problems related to H2S, CO2 and associated contaminants. Their technology can be applied across industries, delivering sustainable solutions that eliminate the base contaminate.

About the Solution:

Streamline Innovations’ VALKYRIE® technology safely and effectively removes hydrogen sulfide (H2S) from your agricultural Biogas or Landfill Gas (LFG) stream without generating harmful byproducts. Removing H2S is a critical step in upgrading your Biogas or LFG stream to meet stringent pipeline specifications and upgrading to commercial Renewable Natural Gas (RNG). VALKRYIE technology is sustainable, modular and scalable.

Streamline offers two versions of VALKYRIE units for Biogas-to-RNG applications, the VALKYRIE ECO and VALKYRIE ECO FLEX, both of which use our proprietary TALON® next generation liquid redox chemistry, proven with years of successful operation in the Oil & Gas industry.

Benefits and Capabilities

  • Non-biological, robust chemistry. No need for gas cooling before entering treatment vessels.
  • Lower operating expenses than legacy treating methods, given the regenerative nature of next generation liquid redox chemistry.
  • Easily handles variability in Biogas production stream flow volume and temperature.
  • Green solution. Harmless byproducts include water vapor and elemental sulfur, certified by OMRI for use as a fertilizer in organic agriculture.
  • Fully automated operation.
  • Infinite turndown ratio.
  • Ultra-low pressure with no pressure loss across the treating unit.
  • Operates continuously without shutdowns for media changes.
  • Does not introduce oxygen into the gas stream.
  • Treating to pipeline specification with no need for a downstream gas polisher.
  • Eliminates need for thermal oxidizers.
  • Eliminates need for hazardous spent media disposal.
  • Low Total Cost of Ownership.
  • Easy to maintain with very few mechanical components.
  • HSE friendly chemistry is non-hazardous, non-toxic and biodegradable.

  • Streamline Innovations’ products are Made in USA.

Solution Strengths, Weaknesses and Critical Indicators

    Anaerobic Digester Associated Technology:

NOTE: There are several technology types that are used as part of an integrated manure management system that includes an anaerobic digester and are not applicable to manure management in other cases. The impact of these technologies on the critical indicators are represented as those of an entire anaerobic digester system.

    • Long usable life and can be run reliably
    • Creates energy and generates environmental credits
    • Requires proper preparation of the feedstock
    • Requires other technologies for energy utilization
    • Requires other technologies for digestate handling
    • Proper feeding & system monitoring is required to avoid system downtime
    • Proven technology for odor control, GHG reduction and pathogen reduction
